Engagement Session Expectations | Blogging for Brides

Engagement session expectations, photographer akron ohio, wedding advice for brides

99.9% of the time, when a newly engaged couple steps in front of the camera of their professional photographer for engagement photos, they have no idea what to expect.  The chances of the couple having professional photos TOGETHER prior to this point are equally as slim.

I think it’s important that every single one of my #LJBrides knows what to expect before they actually know.  So here’s a wonderful list of engagement session expectations for my beautiful brides!

Engagement Session Expectations for #LJBrides

  • Brides won’t have to feel like they’re in this alone.  Location suggestions?  You got it!  Outfit inspiration?  I’m there.  Tips sent to you before we schedule?  They’ll be in your email!
  • So many Brides tell me they’re not photogenic.  Well after our session together, I’m going to prove you wrong!  You just need a little direction with posing
  • One of the biggest engagement session expectations is we’re going to laugh and have fun together!  This is such an exciting time in your lives and we’re going to celebrate it!
  • Speaking of posing, you’re going to have 75% photos of intimate poses, and 25% traditional, looking at the camera and smiling.
  • Engagement sessions last anywhere from an hour and half to two hours.  We’ll (almost) always start two hours before sunset.  The only time we won’t start at that time of day is if we do a sunrise session.
  • Once we wrap up our time together that evening, you’ll see a sneak peak on Facebook and Instagram within 48 hours!  I waste no time because I’m equally excited to see your photos!
  • Your blog post will then be posted 4-5 days after!  Here’s you’ll see 15-30 of my favorite photos
  • And then finally, your gallery will be delivered to your email no more than two weeks after our session!

It’s so important to me that my couples have a blast for their engagement session.  I want them to leave feeling like they have a new best friend.  But most importantly, I want them to leave feeling like ROCKSTARS in front of the camera.  That feeling is going to transfer to the wedding day, making our time that day go so smooth!
