For Business Creatives

This last fall, Joshua took a dudes hunting trip to Montana for two weeks.  Even with my busiest fall season to date, I was miserable without my husband.  I’m that wife that needs her husband around, or I’m a lost puppy.  I blame it on my love language!

I spent those two weeks coping by online shopping.  A lot of online shopping.  A friend posted about the Young Living Premium Starter Kit, and I figured “why not?”.  The PayPal account was getting it’s exercise already, why not add another lap around the interwebs transaction track?

I honestly had zero clue the endless benefits essential oils have.  I certainly didn’t understand why Young Living was the best option out there.  I’m a brand name snob, so I bought my kit, waited for it to arrive, and researched Pinterest.  In the last six months, I have learned a lot about the power of essential oils and living a toxin-free life.

With wedding season quickly approaching, I’ve been stocking up on oils during my monthly Essential Rewards orders.  Today I’m sharing with you how I plan on making it through the busiest season I have ever had!

A Busy Wedding Season and Young Living Oils

Wedding season typically brings with it long hours in front of the computer, 12+ hour office work, and 10+ hour wedding days.  This is a recipe for plenty of tension, tears, stress, and sore muscles.  Since I started learning the power of essential oils, I’ve been stocking up!  Here are the oils that will allow me to survive!

Oils for Wedding Days

  • Stress Away
Just as the name says, say goodbye to stress with Stress Away!  I plan on swimming in this oil every morning before I walk out the door for a wedding.  While weddings are beautiful, they can also be stressful!  I’m avoiding all that negative emotion all together with this oil!
  • Peace and Calming
Just like stress away, peace and calming is for the peace and calming every wedding photographer needs.  When the stress gets the better of me, a couple of drops of this oil gold will go on my inner wrists, followed by a couple sniffs!
  • Joy
Weddings bring so much joy to my life!  This oil when applied neat over your heart just enhances those feelings even more!
  • Purification
Lord knows how smelly you can be after a humid wedding day!  With a little help of Purification, I’ll smell like a rose!
  • M-Grain
This girl suffers from headaches when I’m overworked.  Sometimes those headaches turn into Migraines.  With the help of M-Grain, I’m going to stop those bad boys in their tracks!
  • En-R-Gee
That after dinner reception slump a photographer experiences every wedding?  It’s the real deal.  Or the post wedding hangover is the real deal.  With a drop on my wrists, and on the back of my neck, En-R-Gee will help keep me moving.

Oils for a Better Night’s Sleep

  • Lavender and Cedarwood
Each night, I plan on diffusing Lavender and Cedarwood in our bedroom!  I’m going to buy the Rainstone Diffuser Kit so I have a continuous 8 hours of diffusing while I sleep.  Especially on the nights of doubleheaders, I’m going to need a full nights sleep that isn’t restless!
  • Peace and Calming
For those really long wedding days when the heat got the better of me, and I have one more wedding to go for the weekend, I’m diffusing Peace and Calming.  This is my heavy hitter for a sound night of sleep!

Oils for the Office

  • Clarity and Peppermint
Clarity and Peppermint diffused is one of my favorites!  When I need to clear my mind and get to work, the diffuser is always going with this!
  • Release
When Uncle Bob has gotten in my way one too many times, I’ll be coming home and diffusing Release.  Release targets anger that is stored in the liver.  While an Uncle Bob wouldn’t send me over the end, it’s never good to harbor ill-feelings.

Oils for Better Health

  • Thieves
I’ll be using Thieves this year to protect myself from all the germs and to stay healthy.  With a crazy packed fall, I can’t let a cold bench me for even a second!
  • Lemon and Grapefruit
These two oils can be added your water.  It’s always a good idea to drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated, but for a girl that sweet tea runs through my veins, water isn’t always my first choice.  Lemon and Grapefruit help make that water a little more exciting!

Loren’s go-to Rollers

While the oils listed above alone will help with mental health, these rollers will be the saving grace!  Roller bottles are 10 ml bottles that are mixed with various oils and topped with a carrier oil like coconut, grapeseed, almond, or other healthy oils you can find at the grocery store.  The rollers are applied to various parts of your body depending on the desired result.  Pulse point, back of the neck, and bottom of your feet are common places of application.

  • Focus
The focus roller is 15 drops of the following three oils: vetiver, lavender, and cedarwood.  I apply this roller to my forehead, the back of my neck, and the bottom of my big toe.  This will come in handy when my self-diagnosed ADD kicks in while I’m prepping a blog post!
  • Headaches
Gosh, this is one of my favorite rollers.  15 drops of Peppermint, PanAway, Lavender, and Copaiba, and 10 minutes later I’m bouncing around again listening to my favorite podcasts!
  • Seasonal Wellness
I suffer from serious springtime sniffles!  The freshly sprouting flowers and budding trees wreck havoc on my body!  I add 15 drops of Peppermint, Lavender, and Lemon.  I roll the oils on behind my ears and the back of my neck each and every night!
  • Deep Relief
For those sore muscles after a long wedding day, I plan on rolling Deep Relief on the trigger points.  Deep Relief has already helped tremendously with the tension I hold in my shoulders so I’m excited to see how effective it is after long wedding days!
  • Energize
10 drops of Lavender, 5 drops of Peppermint, and 2 drops of peppermint, combined with the En-R-Gee oil, I will be bouncing around the reception floor with more energy than the flower girl!

One Final Order

This next month, I’m going to place my last order before this busy wedding season kicks in.  The following oils I’m ordering.

  • Breathe Again
Breathe Again will come in handy during the spring and fall when I’m stuffed up and can’t breathe!
  • NingXia Red
While not an oil, NingXia Red is one of Young Living’s powerhouses.  This drink increases energy and strength, aids in allergies, and strengthens muscles and bones.  With 11 weddings in a 7 week period, I’m going to need all the energy I can get!!
  • Motivation
For those office days after a doubleheader weekend and I have two blog posts to write!
  • Hope
I forsee me using a whole bottle of hope towards the end of the wedding season!  When I’m running on fumes, Hope will give me hope that I can make it and finish strong!  It’ll help that my last two weddings are with some of my favorite couples of 2017!

I’m so excited to experience a wedding season where essential oils from Young Living are supporting my overall health!  I have such high hopes that this will be the best wedding season yet!!
