It wasn’t until I began this blog post that I released in the midst of a newborn fog a year ago, I never did a 2017 Year in Review.  To my 2017 couples, I truly apologize for keeping you out of the fun, but I think we can all agree, taking care of a tiny human may just trump one missed blog post?  Right?!

I really love looking back at a year of weddings.  The review allows me a chance to reflect on the year, and it’s always a great time to reminisce all the fun memories I have from each wedding!

When I started booking 2018 weddings, I knew that my year would look very different compared to the years in the past.  Because of adding the title to “Mother” to my name, I knew I needed to scale back on the workload.  I wouldn’t be able to photographer more than one wedding a weekend with an infant at home.  I knew that shooting more than two engagement sessions a week wasn’t going to be feasible.  Looking back on 2018, I’m so grateful for not only the couples, but the personal growth I experienced thanks to that bundle of joy that is currently terrorizing my house!

A big thanks to my baker’s dozen of LJ Brides in 2018!  We had a lot of laughs together, and I know I shed at least one tear at every single one of your weddings.  What use to choke me up before being a momma, the first looks, the vows, now I can look forward to tears during those times, but also those Father-Daughter dances!
