It’s always a joy when a friend gets engaged and I receive that text message! While that’s a joy, it’s a real honor when they work around your open dates so you can be the one photographing their big day!
Katie married a Farmer, so she knew from the very beginning of wedding planning, to make things as easy as possible, she would have to avoid planting and harvest season. That left a rather small window. March 30th just seemed to be the perfect day to make this all official.
Katie found a beautifully restored tutor home in Akron for her getting ready location. The O’Neil House, located on Exchange St. was the home of the General Tire Company founder, William O’Neil many decades ago. Today, the O’Neil House is a bed and breakfast with an impressive landscape.
Even with all the rain we had on Saturday, the O’Neil House gave us a wonderful indoor option for bridal party photos! This wedding certainly challenged me to step out of my comfort zone. We not only had the rain to combat, but we were blocking the driveway at the O’Neil House so I was then limited on time. Throw in the mix a rowdy group of groomsmen (god love ’em all!), and we had a trifecta of wonderful challenges!
Congratulations, Brenner’s!! Thanks for including me in such a huge way on your wedding day!!
