Drop. Drop. Dropdropdropdropdropdrop times I think a billion. I can only think to describe the rain hitting my windshield this way as we arrived at the Villas Friday morning at Gervasi Vineyard in Canton Ohio. Thankfully, as the day went on, the rain lessened to the point that after dinner, Will and Lisa were able to sneak out to the vineyard for photos! The forecast certainly wasn’t what any Bride wants to have on her wedding day, but these two made the best of the rain.
Right beside the Villas, Gervasi has a beautiful conservatory that had beautiful light for Will and Lisa’s first look. Both seemed a little tense because of the weather, but once Will laid eyes on his beautiful wife-to-be, you could immediately see shoulders relax. All was right in the world. Will and Lisa were together, and no matter what, at the end of the day, these two were going to be husband and wife.
I’ve noticed a trend these last couple of weddings. When a father and daughter have their dance, I tear up. Same goes for when the Groom has his dance with his mom. Blame it on the pregnancy hormones, because last year, those dances never got to me. But on Friday when Will and Lisa got married at Gervasi Vineyard, I hid behind my camera while Lisa’s dad gave his toast in front of their family and friends. It was clear how much he loved and cherished his oldest daughter. I’m not sure there was a dry eye in the house!
Congratulations Will and Lisa! Despite the rainy weather, the day was full of love!!
