Wedding Tasks Brides Forget

No matter how many wedding blogs or websites (Brides.com had a great list!) you look at to make sure you don’t forget a minor wedding task, there’s always SOMETHING!  You’re only one person, and your mind will be a jumbled mess the last couple weeks leading up the wedding, so here’s my list of wedding tasks brides forget!  Hopefully these wedding tasks brides forget aren’t your forgotten wedding tasks!

  1. Forgot to order boutonnières/corsages for family
  2. Seating at the reception for vendors (photographers, videographers, DJs)
  3. Forgot to put the garter on before leaving the getting ready room
  4. Forgot to create a decoration for the seating chart
    1. Forgot to put a late RSVP on the seating chart
  5. Forgot about a wedding sendoff, or to order petals/bobbles, ribbon for the wedding send off
  6. Forgetting to make or print the wedding programs
  7. Forgetting to print off your family formals list to avoid missing photos
  8. Marriage License
  9. Writing Vows/Letters and/or bringing them to the venue (Could be like Josh and I and write then the morning of, five minutes before we’re suppose to leave)
  10. Champaign for toasts
  11. Cake cutter/server
  12. Finding someone to light the votives
  13. Choosing ceremony and reception music
  14. Guest book AND pens for the guest book
  15. Displaying extra decor
  16. Putting out yard games
  17. Candles or Sand for Uniting Ceremony
  18. Leaving said candles or sand at the venue after the wedding (Yes, I did this.  And then realized THREE weeks later we forgot it!)
  19. Backing your veil, rings, shoes, jewelry, slip
  20. Remembering parent, bridal party, spouse gifts

My biggest suggestion to remembering the wedding tasks brides forget is to make a list on your phone and pack everything you the week of the wedding!  More on what to do the week of the wedding coming soon!
