Back Country Dirt roads, a treehouse paradise, & the most perfect wedding venue
Dirt roads lead Grand Barn couples to a treehouse paradise. Eight treehouses (and counting!), four cabins, and the most perfect wedding venue make up the Mohicans.
The Grand Barn at the
Mohicans is a rustic venue in Ohio that Brides dream of and pin away on Pinterest. The Barn features two seperate bridal suites, a loft for extra seating or entertainment, and two decks
connected by a winding staircase with vine wrapped railing.
Below the Barn is a patio overlooking the Mohican Valley where a Bride will say I Do to her Groom in front of their friends and family. Couples can explore the property for their portraits and utilize the various breathtaking backdrops that will help tell their wedding day love story.
The Grand Barn at the Mohicans provides a place for a couples wedding day that they will always be remembered. Couples will cherish the property and make plans to return on their anniversary to reminisce their wedding day memories.

“We had our dream wedding thanks to the Grand Barn!”
We had our wedding at the Grand Barn in September and it was absolutely beautiful! The grounds are so unique with treehouses everywhere and the barn is the perfect combination of rustic elegance. The staff was so helpful and very experienced!

While the name may contain "Barn", The Grand Barn is anything like a traditional barn! Built with trees literally going through the structure, this iconic rustic, yet very elegant, wedding venue in Ohio offers a unique experience for not only the couple getting married, but also their guests!
You're wedding day was magical, but the icing on the cake is spending your night in one of the many Treehouses at the Mohicans! Whether you stay in Little Red, built by Pete Nelson himself, or the Nest, right off the deck of the Grand Barn, there's no better way to finish your night!
The second floor at the grand barn has two rooms. I always recommend that the Bride takes the back room (the biggest one) while the groom has the smaller front room. The big room has it's own door to exit the barn if need be.
It the sun allows for it, I recommend there at the ceremony location on the patio. The background is beautiful and you're family formals will be consistent with the rest of your photos
This is such a wonderful question to ask! Especially for the Grand Barn! The sun sets BEHIND the barn, leaving the ceremony location in full sun certain times of the day! I would schedule your ceremony at a time that the sun isn't beating down on the ceremony location so your photos have beautiful even light.
They do! But not on the decks! You have to be off the decks and in an open space!
This depends on how much of the property you would like to explore. If you wanted to take photos at a certain treehouse that isn't close to the Barn, or down at the covered bride, you'l want at least 60 minutes for just Bridal Portraits. Then 30 minutes for bridal party, and another 30 for family formals.
hey there!
Fueled by equal parts sweet tea and passion, I spend my days capturing the kinds of photos that make you stop, smile and ask time to please slow down. Your story is beautiful and I can't wait to capture it in photos you will treasure for years to come with your heirloom wedding album and art on the walls.
Since 2011, I've photographed couples madly in love, and I can't wait to walk this journey with you!
