WELCOME TO Rivercrest Farm

A 120 acre rolling hill working farm that has been in the family for four generations now is the home of countless weddings throughout a wedding season.
Once a dairy farm many moons ago, Rivercrest Farm in Dover, Ohio offers a truly unique experience for a couple seeking a rustic, yet very elegant wedding.
Deanna, owner and chandelier addict, has put so much thought and attention into her wedding venue.  Everywhere you turn, there's something to admire - updates to the barn, the patio with custom fireplace, or life size chess board.  Don't forget to sit with your favorite person on the tree swing, mingle with your guests on the back deck, or enjoy the views at sunset from one of the hilltops with the Highland Cows!
Whether your wedding day dreams include an intimate wedding or a grand party, Rivercrest Farm offers it all.  Don't leave your wedding memories to chance and hire a photographer experienced with all this Rivercrest!  Inquire now!

Rivercrest Farm History

Built in 1918, Rivercrest Farm operated as a dairy farm for many years.  Beginning in 2013, Brides fell in love with the charm that this rustic wedding venue in Tuscarawas County offers!

Charleston Stairs

Added a few years ago, the Charleston Stairs was a picture perfect addition at Rivercrest Farm!

The Patio with Fireplace

A 550-foot long "alleyway" of trees consisting of more than 100 gray birches growing from the original root stock. Over time, the birch trees have naturally formed a corridor in which a contrast between sunlight and shadows play in the overhead canopy of leaves.  This is a popular spot for photos, for obvious (and beautiful) reasons.

Hill Top

If dreamy sunset photos is something you've dreamed of since you said "Yes!", you'll book Rivercrest simply for the sunset photos!  Bonus?  The Highland Cows that approach and greet you with no hesitation!

FAQ

A FEW OF OUR MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT SHOOTING WEDDINGS AT Rivercrest Farm

Where should we get ready?

Rivercrest Farm offers two separate locations at the barn for getting ready spaces - the Bridal and the Cowboy Suites.  Both spaces are perfect for hanging out with your best friends on the morning of your wedding and getting ready!

Where do you recommend taking our family portraits?

It the sun allows for it, I always recommend there at the ceremony location.  The background is beautiful and you're family formals will be consistent with the rest of your photos

What time should we schedule our ceremony to begin?

This is such a wonderful question to ask!  And can be rather complex, as well!  You first should decide whether you would like to have a first look.  If you have a first look, 4:30 ceremony, if you don't have a first look, 3:30 ceremony with dinner starting at 5:30.

What are the benefits of having a first look?

This is one of my favorite wedding topics to talk about!  There are so many pros to having a first look, and no cons, in my humble opinion!  I have five reasons to do a first look, and you can read about them here!

How long should we plan to take bride & groom portraits?

There is so much to capture at Rivercrest Farm, so really, how much do you want to capture?  Are you content with one spot?  Or would you like to highlight the beauty you fell in love with?  I would recommend no less than 30 minutes, but 60 is better!  And if you have the opportunity for sunset photos, you must take advantage of that time!

Should we take our Engagement Photos at Rivercrest Farm?

YES!!  Find a beautiful dress, get your hair and makeup done, and let's take more beautiful photos at this rustic wedding venue!  Look through Tom and McKayla's engagement photos in February!  Even the dead of winter, Rivercrest is gorgeous!
