A Summer Brookside Farms Wedding

Turning off of Ravenna Avenue down the long lane, a guest is immediately transported into another world. Say good-bye to the highways and busyness of life. You’re now greeted with farm life. Slower days, a constant breeze that compliments the sunny skies. And you, of course, can not miss the cows grazing out in the fields!

When Jamie and I arrived Saturday morning at Brookside Farms, I immediately saw Emily’s vibrate (and contagious!) smile! She was hanging out downstairs with all the girls, sipping on champagne and snacking on fruits.

Like any wedding day, events move quickly. One minute I’m photographing details, and the next, it’s time to walk my Bride out to her Groom for their first look!

Ethan’s a quiet man. Has very few words for someone. But his reaction was exactly what I expected when he saw Emily for the first time. The moment he spun around and laid eyes on his beautiful Bride, tears welled in his eyes. He swooped Emily into his arms and they stood there holding on to each other. Letting all the tension, anxiety, and wedding day stress escape from their bodies.

As much as I love the intimate moments with a Bride and a Groom during a first look, Emily and her dad had their own private moment and it brought tears to my eyes! This strong man that Emily idolized growing up broke down into tears the moment he saw his oldest daughter! All I could think about was this moment that Josh and Charlotte will have…in 40 years!
