Tanglewood Country Club Wedding
Where do I even begin with this sweet couple of mine?? I adore this two and the love they have for each other. After spending Saturday with them, it’s clear to see why they are the way they are! It’s all because of their parents!! I have felt loved and welcome before at weddings, but the Blasko’s and Dragon’s made me feel like I was part of the family!!
Mandi started her morning off at the Inn Walden in Aurora with her bridesmaids and moms! When I arrived to start photographing details, this sweet bride of mine was in the chair having last minute touches done to her hair. She was calm and relaxed, but clearly excited to get her wedding day started!
Once she stepped into her gown and her momma looped each button on the back of her dress, we were off to Tanglewood Club for Mandi and Nick to share their first look. I remember asking if Nick wanted to put his handkerchief in his pocket, but to my surprise, he replied “no.” He said he was more than likely going to need it when he saw Mandi for the first time. I may have missed him wiping away his own tears while I was wiping mine!
Some of my favorite moments from Nick and Mandi’s wedding day came at the reception. Both of their moms were on the dance floor dancing together at one point. I fought back tears as Nick danced with Mom to Simple Man. I’m blaming that one on the baby!! Lately, the father daughter and mother son dances have me extra weepy! But the tears rolled down my cheeks at the end of the Anniversary Dance. I love this reception formality because of everything that it stands for. On Mandi and Nick’s wedding day, it was Mandi’s grandparents that were on the floor the longest. Together they have spent nearly SIX DECADES together as husband and wife! What an amazing example for Nick and Mandi in their own marriage!!
It was such a joy to spend my Saturday with these two, their family, and their friends!! And I’m over the moon excited to now share with you some of their photos from their big day at Tanglewood Country Club!
