December 12, 2016
I love reflection. I love taking the time at the end of a year to look back on the past 12 months and remember what those 12 months consisted of. I think it’s important for personal growth, therefore, necessary for business growth. I can’t believe though that I’m already reflecting on my 2016. I feel like I just started the year!!
In 2016, I met 23 inspiring couples, laughed a lot, made some mistakes, learned from those mistakes, and saw incredible business growth. I photographed the start of 23 new marriages, laughed with my couples, cried with my couples, and celebrated with my couples. I stood in churchs, fields, barns, and yards and listed to vows being promised to love one another through all seasons of life. I focused on photographing each first kiss like it was the first time I ever photographed that important kiss for a couple. I spent many hours in front of my computer editing and blogging, writing emails, answering questions, and calming the nerves of a Bride who saw the 10 day forecast for her wedding day and read rain.
2016 was an incredible year. And I’m beyond grateful for each of these 23 couples, but in one way shape or form, they impacted my life. And it’s my greatest hope that they will look back on their wedding photos in 50 years and still feel the love that I captured on their wedding day!
Thank you my LJ Brides and Grooms for allowing me such an honor to stand with you, celebrate with you, laugh and cry with you. Your days were all so uniquely you, and inspiring in every way! I loved watching your love story begin another chapter in your book. Here’s to DECADES of love, and many new chapters together!
