2017 Best of Wedding Photos
26 incredible couples that are madly in love and made the promise to spend the rest of their lives together. I’m the biggest sucker for a love story, and being able to photograph them every weekend makes my heart happy. At the end of a wedding day, I’m leaving tired with sore feet 99% of the time, but I leave feeling even more in love with my own Husband. What other job allows you to constantly remember what it’s all about? Every weekend I’m reminded of the importance a loving marriage has on a family.
I started the 2017 wedding season seven and a half weeks pregnant with Charlotte. I was battling morning sickness, but the adrenaline of a wedding day kept me busy enough to forget about the little alien wrecking my insides. Throughout wedding season, I found myself getting emotional at new parts of the day. Dad’s giving away daughters and the daddy-daughter dance had me weeping behind my camera more time than I can count. Even before we knew the little bean in my belly was a girl those special moments with the Dads and daughters always caught me by surprise!
Every year I say I’m going to keep track of how many photos I take from the wedding season, and every year I end up forgetting to keep track. I think it would be a fun little stat to remember the year by. One stat that is always fun to look back on is the total number of weddings I had the insane honor of photographing. 2017 marked my busiest year with 25 weddings and one vow renewal. Here are some stats from the season, though.
2017 Wedding Stats
- 25 Weddings
- 1 vow renewal
- 17 Weekends
- 11 weekends with more than one wedding
- 20 different venues
- Three weddings at Gervasi Vineyard
- Two weddings at Stan Hywet
- Two weddings at Brookside Farms
- Two weddings at Peacock Ridge
- One out of state wedding
- 19 First Looks!!! (76% of my couples opt for this romantic time for just the two of them and that makes me SO happy!)
- Six weddings with Bouquet Studios
- Five weddings with Work Shed Wedding
- One wedding that ended with FIREWORKS!!!
Thank you to each of the 26 couples for an incredible year! It was a pleasure to spend the day with you and your families capturing memories that shaped your wedding day. My hope is when you look back at your beautiful wedding photos, you’re able to remember exactly how you felt on your day!
Here are just some of my favorite photos from the 2017 wedding season! The blog maxed me out on 300 images. This is probably the biggest post ever!
