A Classic Stan Hywet Engagement Session
My favorite engagement sessions will always be those where the Bride and Groom go the extra mile to get all glammed up. Just looking at Valerie’s smile for our time together at Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens last week, this girl is absolutely glowing with confidence! Valerie was absolutely stunning, and Eric’s suits complimented her so well! Then to top it all off, Stan Hywet in Akron provided us the perfect backdrop to tie in the classic and romantic feel that Valerie wanted for her engagement photos!
Eric and Valerie met in High School. Eric played football and basketball, while Valerie cheered for both sports. They have so many memories together on the bus rides and even more with the after-school hangout spot at Steak and Shake! Eric asked Valerie to his Senior Prom in 2011, making it their first official date.
While Eric attended Ashland University and Valerie went to OU, they each made that drive several times each semester to spend time with each other. Whether it was dates at the Applebee’s near campus or a night in watching movies and eating pizza, Valeria and Eric always made the most of their time together!
Valerie shared their love languages with me; Eric’s love language is quality time and Valerie’s is words of affirmation. She said, “I spend time with him, while he says nice things about me.” I love that these two already see the importance of keeping their love tanks full. Marriage will be a smoother ride for them.
As you’ll see, we made some serious magic at Stan Hwyet last week. It was VERY hard for me to narrow down their blog post and not share every image I took. This is, hands down, one of the best engagement sessions I have ever photographed.
