A simple walk on campus with their parents to “show off” Bluffton University, turned into a walk that Julie will never forget. Completely unsuspecting of what was going to come next, Julie thought that her then-boyfriend, Nick, simply wanted to show his parents where he spent the last several years while getting a college degree. You see, Bluffton has this bridge that is full of superstition. The night before this grand tour of campus, Nick took Julie there, and causually mentioned if they didn’t kiss at the Adams Bridge, they would never get married. Still completely unbeknownst to Julie, Nick was planning an elaborate proposal!
As the tour guide, Nick himself is pointing out various parts of campus, they stroll up to Adams Bridge. Nick recruited several of their friends to hold cards explaining how he fell in love with Julie. A little ways ahead, the bridge was decorated with lights and plenty of friends with cameras documenting the whole ordeal!
So here we are, 10 weeks away from the big day! Julie and Nick are planning their January wedding in hopes that the grounds at the Encore Hall in Berlin Ohio are covered with snow! How magical the day will be if that wish comes true! I don’t often hope for snow, but for this day, I am!
Thank you, Nick and Julie, for being wonderful sports during your engagement session! It was a bit muddy – Thanks Ohio for the continuous rain we have received! But these photos are insanely beautiful! I hope I never forget how colorful this November has been! It truly looks like the middle of October with the trees showing their beauty!
