I see so many Brides-to-be asking for places to buy bridesmaid dresses besides David’s Bridal. Maybe it’s because Brides want a cheaper alternative to David’s Bridal, or maybe they want something a little different then what David’s has to offer. After seeing so many questions, I figured so many Brides could find this post helpful!
Places to Buy Bridesmaid Dresses (Besides David’s Bridal)
-
New York & Company
I never would had guessed that my favorite store of all time – New York and Company, would be the place where my Bridesmaids bought their dresses from. Because of a weekend sale that was going on, the girls spent about $35 for their dress. And the best part – they’re cute lace black dresses that they can ACTUALLY wear again! Not maybe wear again, but can!

Azazie
Azazie is an online store and is actually where I bought my Matron of Honor dress when I was in my best friends wedding. That have so many styles, many similar to David’s Bridal, but I found that the prices a little bit cheaper. What was nice about Azazie was that I could shop in peace without feeling pressured to find a dress and try it on. They always run sales so you might be able to score a brand new bridesmaid dress for less then $50!

Maurice’s
Maurice’s reminds me of a Forever 21 store, but in the spring time, if you’re looking for nontraditional short dresses for your bridesmaids, then you definitely need to check out this store! My girls originally got their dresses there and then I changed my mind when New York and Company released their spring collection. My sister-in-law had her girls buy their dresses at Maurice’s and they were so cute and fit the theme of the wedding so well!

Other Department Stores
In the spring when all the department stores are releasing their spring/summer collection, that’s when you need to venture to the mall to look for dresses if you want something nontraditional. And friends – remember, nontraditional for weddings isn’t a bad thing! Especially if you want that super awesome boho look of the girls in different dresses!

Local Bridal Shop
It’s always great to support small businesses, so if you’re looking for traditional bridesmaid dresses but don’t want to go to David’s Bridal, this is where you need to be shopping. They’ll have seamstresses, so if a Bridesmaid needs alternations for her dress, you won’t have to worry about finding a third party to take care of that. Here are some places to buy bridesmaid dresses that I know of in around the Canton/Massillon area :
- Linde’s – Massillon
- Doreen Leaf – Hartville
- Henri’s Cloud Nine – Minerva
- Abbotts bridal and formalwear – North Canton

ASOS
Funny how I came across ASOS, their Instagram page liked one of my posts! Just in time to make an appearance for places to buy bridesmaid dresses! So while I’ve never ordered anything from this website, I did do a little research. The dresses come from Europe so there is an exchange rate, but there is free international shipping. You can easily find out the exchange rate by typing into Google “pound exchange rate” . They have several different style of dresses, so if you’re looking to have your girls in similar shade of color and different styles, this may be the perfect site for you!
I hope you found this post – places to buy bridesmaid dresses, extremely helpful. There is absolutely nothing wrong with purchasing dresses from David’s Bridal, but there is also nothing wrong with knowing what other options are out there as well.

Love this post! I did mismatched dresses for my bridesmaids and so we got them from all over the place – Kohls, Macy’s, online boutiques… it was so perfect and all the dresses were fairly inexpensive and totally wearable again! We also found out that Target actually has a line of bridesmaid dresses online too! Who would’ve thought?!
