The Grand Barn Wedding Center has a VERY special place in my heart, and in my marriage. This coming July will mark two years since I became a wife at this beautiful rustic venue and I was so excited to spend Ryan and Tricia’s wedding day with them, their closest friends, and their family at the Grand Barn.
When Tricia moved from New York to Columbus for a job she was prepared for life changing experiences. She joined a spinning class and low and behold, the man of her dreams was in the same class. It wouldn’t take long for the two to fall in love. Their love story leads us to this past Friday at the Grand Barn.
With a slight drizzle in the morning hours, Tricia began her hair and make up in the main cabin on the property, while Ryan relaxed with the dad’s in the Groom Suite at the Barn. I began right away finding the perfect spot to photograph the details of the day. I found it a tad challenging not to recreate every single one of my wedding photos because Kaitlin (my wedding photographer) found the perfect spots to tell my wedding day love story at the Grand Barn.
Ryan and Tricia exchanged gifts in the morning. From a young age, Ryan loved to tinker with bikes, cars, anything with engines and gears. Tricia knowing this found the perfect groom’s gift in cufflinks that were gears. Ryan, knowing the way to his wife’s heart, purchased beautiful Tiffany pearls for Tricia that went so well with her gown!
I had the best day watching Ryan and Tricia’s love unfold on their wedding day. The Grand Barn provided the perfect backdrop for their elegant rustic wedding. With the iconic tree houses on the property, we made sure we incorporated those into their special day. Tricia and Ryan spent their wedding night in Little Red, while family and friends rented out the six other cabins or tree houses. Fun fact of the day for you – Little Red was built by Pete Nelson from Tree House Masters. You can watch the preview of the Episode HERE.
A big thank you to Ryan and Tricia for trusting me with their precious memories. Also thank you to the Cowley and Young families for making me feel like one of the gang! It was a pleasure getting to know each of you!
