A little over nine months ago, Jake and Kayla had their wedding day! Shortly after coming home from their honeymoon in the happiest place on earth – Disney World, Kayla found out she was pregnant! I remember asking Kayla how soon after the wedding did her and Jake want to start a family, and she said sooner the better! This bride of mine loves basset hounds, and right before their November 11th wedding, they added Rufus to their family. I think Jake (and Kayla’s mom) were secretly hoping the puppy would curb Kayla’s baby fever. Clearly, that didn’t work!
These two have been in front of my camera four times now. Once before they booked for the Police Department Mini Sessions Crystal Tucker Photography and I held, then their winter engagement photos, a year later for their wedding day, and now for this sweet peanut growing in Kayla’s belly!
Jackson Nicholas is set to make his arrival within the next four and half weeks. While Kayla is growing more and more uncomfortable the further along she gets, I think it’s safe to say she’s the cutest pregnant woman I have ever seen! I envy her non-swollen ankles and fingers, and the perfectly round belly she’s sporting!!
I loved spending some time with these two before they officially become parents! I’m sure they know it, but their world is about to change in the best way possible! Parenthood is one helluva adventure, I can’t wait to see these two walk hand in hand in this new season of life together! Jackson is one lucky dude!!
