Kent State University played match maker for these two beautiful souls. When Mandi entered her freshman year of college, she swore off all boys. She wanted to enjoy college without boy drama (who can blame a girl?!). That was until she walked into the lounge area of her dorm and spotted Nick. For those who believe in love at first sight, that’s how Mandi and Nick’s story starts.
Nick would spent the next couple weeks impressing Mandi with cookies and milk and cute notes randomly placed around her dorm room. It wasn’t long until Mandi gave up on her “swearing off boys” to let herself fall in love with this man who was different from the rest.
College would past, and Nick and Mandi would be inseparable. On New Years Eve, Nick would get down on one knee in the middle of party and ask Mandi to marry him. With Train’s infamous “Marry Me” song playing in the background, Mandi’s world stopped as cheers from the on lookers were filling the room. It was a simple answer for her. She said yes to the man who makes all her dreams come true!
I had the absolutely pleasure of photographing Mandi and Nick’s engagement session at Quail Hollow Saturday. Ohio’s late winter put a damper on all things pretty blooming, but the warm glowly light that evening seemed like a promise from Mother Nature it was only going to get better from here.
These two love birds made me job insanely easy. They were rock stars in front of the camera, and photographing their love was magical to watch.
