Petros Park Anniversary + Family Photos

Allow me to introduce to you my best friend and her beautiful family – Stephanie, DJ, and Quincy!  Stephanie and I become close friends in High School nearly a decade ago!  She may or may not be the reason we painted our upper bodies and stood in rain during a rival football game in October (nonetheless) our senior year. She stood beside me at my wedding, and I had the honor of standing beside her when she married DJ last June.  I’ve watched her blossom into this amazing momma who cares for her son unlike anyone I’ve ever seen.  Stephanie was made to be a momma.

Two weeks ago Stephanie asked if I had any time to take family/anniversary photos for her.  Now I don’t advertise for family photos, but when your best friend asks, you make room in your calendar to make this happen!  She pretty much had me sold when she said she wanted to get super dressed up for photos!  I’m talking Rent the Runway dressed up.  And to top is all off, she had Doreen do her makeup!  A beautiful dress, professional makeup, AND THEN her men dressed to the nines all makes for epic Christmas pictures!  I can’t wait to get one of those Christmas cards in the mail! 😉

Can we take a second to recognize how adorable Quincy is!  This sweet boy will be two in April and just warms my heart.  He’s so full of energy and LOVES having his photo taken!  We may have spent some time practicing for this day since he was only a couple of months old.  Anytime this sweet boy was at my house, the camera came out to play – along with the blocks and books.  At one point during our shoot, Q even tried to help take photos of his mommy and daddy!  Quincy looked so dapper in his suspenders and red pants as he was pulling the little radio flyer wagon around that was his mommy’s when she was younger.  How fun for his grandparents to see the wagon being used by a second generation!

I’m so thankful for friends like Stephanie!  But I’m even more thankful for her sweet husband.  DJ allows Stephanie to be the strong independent woman she is, and loves her along the way.  I’m sure he rolled his eyes when Stephanie said they were getting this dressed up for family photos, but he went with it anyways.  That my friends is the definition of a great Husband!
