Headlands Beach Engagement Session
Photographing an engagement session or wedding on the beach has always been on my photography bucket list. I live in Northeast Ohio…the closest ocean is 12 hours away, so I didn’t have my hopes too high with this bucket list item. But what I failed to remember was that Ohio is part of the Great Lakes and we have Lake Erie. And Lake Erie has a beach! So when Catherine suggested Headlands Beach State Park in Mentor I was down! And I was so excited for this session. When I google image searched Headlands Beach absolutely fell in love with the lighthouse!
Catherine and Tyler met through a Facebook group for incoming freshman with Miami University. Catherine being from Cleveland, and Tyler from Columbus, they naturally weren’t going to meet until the semester started the fall of their freshmen year. However, Catherine was going to be in Columbus for a Taylor Swift concert with a friend, and her and Tyler decided to meet that weekend. They would spend the next several years together while working on their degrees at college. At the end of their senior year, Catherine found a listing for the cutest little Dachshund puppies in Indiana. You’ll get to meet little Ms. Penny here shortly! She’s going to steal your heart!
I’m so excited for Catherine and Tyler’s Gervasi wedding next June. We’re almost 11 months away from their big day. If they’re Headlands Beach engagement session is any indication of how AWESOME their wedding is going to be, we’re going to have a blast!
