It’s been a fun year full of amazing couples, and such incredible and supportive families and friends to my couples! Thanks to Jamie and Courtney – the girls who helped me rock my 2016 wedding season by my side, I have some awesome, and even slightly embarressing behind the scenes photos to share with you today!
I’m excited to share what it looks like when I’m in front of the camera for a couple shots on a wedding day, and even what Jamie and Courtney look like behind the scenes!! In the last five years, I’ve learned to pin boutineers, bustle nearly every kind of bustle on a dress, fold the pocket square for a suit jacket, and fluff a bride’s dress jjjjuuuussssttttt right.
I’m more than just a wedding photographer on a wedding day; I’m a bridesmaid, a wedding planner, a tie breaker, and more importantly, an invested friend. I never want to arrive on a wedding day and not know who my Bride and Groom are. When the three of us are more than just “facebook friends”, true emotions can come out and real stories are told on a wedding day. A photographer who isn’t invested in the couple doesn’t cry with them during a first look, or smile with them through the sweet kisses, or laugh with the friends and family during the toasts.
I hope you enjoy these behind the scenes from 2016 as much as I do. There’s no particular order to these photos, no rhyme or reason for why one photo is where it is. They’re simply uploaded to share and reminisce with those viewing this blog post! Here’s to an incredible and inspiring year with my LJ Brides!!
My favorite photo of Jamie…working her Ninja skills on Abby’s veil for their Brookside Wedding. THAT was a hot day!
We call this “short girl problems”
Do you see the raindrops? Laurie Ann and Jimmy’s wedding was a WET day!
Does this ceremony location look familiar?? If you’ve watched my wedding video before, it should!!
I thought I was the only one who double fisted the cameras on wedding days!!
I was getting ready to tell Jamie we were going to do the veil trick with Nicky’s dress!
And a guest appearance of my KNP Sister – Heather! She shoot a wedding with me this Summer in PA!
Courtney may kill me for this, but I told her it was going to end up on the blog!!! xoxo
Do you know how hard it is to take detail photos from above and NOT get your feet in the photo?!? OIY!
If it wasn’t for Heather, that dress would had never gotten up on that beam!! Thank god for tall friends when you’re short!
We made some SERIOUS magic happen in that field with Danielle and Chad!! SERIOUS MAGIC!!
Windy days and curls for a Bride aren’t best friends! But Jami took it in full stride and we made it all work!
“You know what Tuesday is, right?!” “Blog day?!” 🙂
Lots of tears fall during first looks, but Ty and Sarah’s I had waterfalls!
I promise I wasn’t hogging the umbrellas. It really wasn’t raining at this point. I was carrying these incase it started back up again. May 21st was a raining day!
