Cleveland Botanical Garden Marriage Proposal
Gordan reached out to me early this spring about proposal photography. We exchanged countless emails back and forth, planning the perfect proposal for Christine.
Two weeks before Gordon would pop the question, Charlotte and I drove to Cleveland and met with Gordon at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. For peace of mind, this type A girl that needs a solid plan in place wanted to make sure the moment would go off without a hitch! Ultimately, it was decided that Gordon would guide Christine to the rainforest of Costa Rica. Once in this humid garden, they would climb the stairs to the bridge on the second story.
I wanted to make sure that Christine never saw someone with a camera spying on them, so once I saw they were headed for the stairs, I tucked away in the children’s room. When I knew the coast was clear, I stepped back out and got in position. And then it was just a waiting game for Gordon to guide Christine back around to where I was.
Once the excitement was over and the most important question Gordon has asked Christine thus far was answered, we ventured around the Cleveland Botanical Gardens for photos. You can’t get engaged and then miss out on a quick engagement session for photos!
Lucky for us, the tulips outside were in full bloom and absolutely beautiful and even some of the trees were blooming for us!
I remember ending the evening with Gordan and Christine telling her that she has a lifetime full of surprises coming her way. Gordan pulled out all the stops to make this day so special for his new fiance, there was no way this would be the end of it!
She said YES!!
I don’t remember what exactly Gordon said to Christine, but it went something along the lines of “Say ‘Hi!’ to Loren, now!” This reaction might possibly be my favorite from the day!
