Family Farm Engagement Session | Western Ohio
One hundred and ten years ago (yes 1 1 0 years), a family who recently immigrated from Germany settled in western Ohio in a tiny town called Deshler. He built a home, a barn, and began to live off the land supporting his family. That man was Kyle’s great-great-great grandfather. Today, Kyle and Amanda live in the same house his great times three grandfather built. The house has been in the family ever since!
Doing Amanda and Kyle’s engagement photos on the family farm was a no-brainer. Charlotte, Josh, and I loaded up the Jeep last Sunday afternoon and drove two and half hours west for this sweet engagement session. While Josh and Charlotte played in the grass and examined all the rocks, Kyle, Amanda, and I walked the hundred-year-old property taking photos and getting to know each other!
I loved the old barn that is original to the property, and beside the barn was a beautiful tree that looked to be older than the barn! One of those big trees that you know how seen it’s fair share of sunshine and rain storms. A tree that provides the right amount of shade perfect for a summer nap!
It was such a joy spending the evening with Kyle and Amanda in a place that means so much to Kyle and his family, and knowing that Amanda and Kyle will eventually grow the Fintel Family in the original home, has to be a pretty special feeling! Rumor has it that Kyle said having photos taken Sunday evening was both enjoyable and fun, so I would say I did my job well!! 😉
Thank you, Amanda and Kyle, for bringing me out to your beautiful home!!
