Farm Engagement Photos
Eight years ago this summer, Dana was showing some cattle at the Stark County Fair. The week was going great, until one of her cows became sick on the last day with what they call “bloat.” Little did she realize at the time, the Vet that would arrive and save the day would be accompanied with his teenage son. That teenage son would later become Dana’s soon-to-be husband. A whole year would pass before Stan would ask Dana out on a date while attending Stark County’s Fair.
Their shared passion of caring for animals may have brought these two together, but it’s their unconditional love that kept the love growing strong. That’s the only reason a couple could spend several semesters 1,000 miles apart while attending Veterinarian School, literally an ocean apart! Dana in Tenessee with those beautiful smokey mountains and Stan enjoying the Caribbean sun.
When I asked Dana and Stan where they wanted to do engagement photos, it came to no surprise that they wanted to do them on the farm. The original plan was to take the photos on the family farm, but Stan’s parents recently purchased a second property that is a hop, skip, and a jump away. The new property had a beautiful view with a big red bank barn that made my heart smile when we pulled down the long drive!
We would spend the next hour chatting about life, all things wedding, and having a blast taking photos. Even if Stan won’t admit it now, he enjoyed spending time with Dana wrapped up in his arms while I stood behind my camera taking photos! While they were nervous for their farm engagement photos, Dana and Stan were naturals in front of the camera!
