Fieldcrest Estate Anniversary Session
Five years ago last Friday, Marella and Ryan became Husband and Wife. For whatever reason, they trusted me to capture their wedding day! I was just starting out with my baby business, and if I’m being honest, I was absolutely clueless!! I mean, I nearly formatted a card with family formals on it! YIKES!! ROOKIE MISTAKE!!! At the end of the day, Marella and Ryan loved their wedding photos, and I took another step in growing that baby business of mine.
Each July Marella will text me to schedule anniversary photos. I can’t express how happy those texts make me! Being able to spend each anniversary with one my original couples from my rookie years brings so much joy to what I do. I’ve had the pleasure of watching Ryan and Marella grow as husband and wife, and now as parents to just not their four-legged crazy Golden Retriever, but to a real baby! A baby that these two prayed for several years!
The Murphy’s made this years anniversary session extra special by going back to where it all began. Fieldcrest Estate. Five years ago, Fieldcrest Estate was the location of their wedding reception. I remember driving up the lane that hot July day and instantly falling in love with everything the property had to offer. I’m so thankful that Fieldcrest allowed us back on the property this past Sunday evening for Anniversary Photos! It meant so much to Marella!
We strolled the beautiful property. This gorgeous family of four posed for photos, and we even managed to get a couple where Copper wasn’t a total spaz on us! He’s always made our time together interesting and full of laughs! He definitely tries to steal the show, and it wouldn’t be a classic Murphy Anniversary Session without Copper doing something goofy!
The real show stopper on Sunday was Lucas, though! Their adorable one year old was a bit shy in the beginning. All it took was a game of peek-a-boo with the camera to get real giggles from this handsome dude! I know his mommy is going to be so thrilled with those photos!!
I can’t put into words how thankful I am for this couple and for their lasting friendship! Until next year, Murphy’s!! xoxo
