La Pizzaria Wedding
One of my favorite parts of photographing a wedding is when sentimental items are part of the day. Not only did Becky step into her wedding gown in the home she grew up in (it was also the home her mom grew up in!!), but the rob she was wearing was made from material of her momma’s own wedding dress. Certainly brought tears to my eyes thinking of the significance this has! Maybe it’ll be a fun tradition for Becky to continue in several years!
Once dressed, Becky read a letter that her soon-to-be husband penned. (I must say, for not only a guy, but also a doctor, Nate has some seriously neat handwriting!) While sitting in the sunroom reading her love letter, Becky was surrounded by her closest friends. It was sweet to capture the smiles that Becky had while reading what I’m sure where the most genuine promises Nate would make.
I know I talk a lot about how special a first look can be, and the reactions from the Groom’s are always my favorites, but once again, this was probably my favorite part of Nate and Becky’s wedding day. I can only imagine how loved Becky felt when Nate turned around and was nearly brought to his knees. Instant tears were streaming down his face! It’s truly remarkable photographing these memories, and words can’t express how honored I am to witness a love like that!
Aside from a little rain throughout the day, I’m not sure if the day could have been any more perfect for these two! I wonder if six years ago when Nate asked Becky to be his girlfriend, if either of them suspected how they would spend June 9th, 2018 together. Here’s to the next 50 years, Steiner’s!! xoxo
