McKinley Grand Hotel Wedding | Canton, Ohio
August hasn’t been the easiest month on photographers. Hot temperatures, rain nearly every day. Someone who loves Michele and Chad dearly must have had a chat with Mother Nature because the day was perfect. It wasn’t overwhelming warm, we had a refreshing breeze, and it didn’t rain until I was loading up my Jeep after the reception.
The morning started with no clouds in the sky and Michele getting ready at the McKinley Grand Hotel in Canton Ohio with her closest girlfriends. When I walked into the room, I was greeted with a big and warm hug from Michele and I could automatically feel her de-stress. The sweet girl would later tell me that she knew once I arrived she’d be able to relax, and sure enough I did the trick.
You could really see the stress leave her shoulders when her and Chad shared a first look in front of the iconic red doors of the Old Stone Chapel in downtown Canton. The look of excitement on both of their faces was joyous and infectious. Chad was overwhelmed seeing Michele in wedding gown. He stood there in amazement, finally asking if he could kiss her!
They shared these moments together, and then we were off for portraits! Downtown Canton never looked so beautiful! The wind would occasionally pick up Michele’s long veil to get the most fairytale photos possible! The Belle was getting ready to marry her prince charming!
The fairytale theme was felt through out the whole day. Michele loves Beauty and the Beast (seriously, what 90’s girl with dark brown hair didn’t love BELLE?!) From the custom invites designed by Chad to the beautiful centerpieces, Beauty and the Beast could be felt throughout the day! On each table was also photos of places that have significant value to their relationship. Places like the carousel where Chad proposed to Michele, and Progressive field where they have season tickets.
I winever forget receiving Michele’s inquiry email and knowing right away that I was going to love her and Chad. The additional note section went something along the lines of “You have Huskies, we’re ready to book!”. Turns out, Chad and Michele also have a husky and Chad fell in love with the photo of our furbabies on my website. I remember telling Josh that it’s that it took to book amazing couples like Chad and Michele, i’d plastered the dogs all over my website. I am so thankful that the good Lord has allowed me a chance to know Chad and Michele and i’m HONORED that I could spend their perfect wedding day with them!
