Peacock Ridge Fall Wedding
A blush dress, grey suits, maroon bridesmaid dresses, and floral arrangements that would make anyone stop in their tracks. A pot belly big, a big white dog, two donkeys, and a cat that crashes a wedding ceremony. All topics that one could bring up when they talk about Nathan and Melissa’s Peacock Ridge fall wedding this past weekend.
But you wouldn’t be able to mention this fall wedding without first talking about Nathan and Melissa first. My goodness. I left Friday night with my heart so full of joy! It was easy to see how much these two love each other, and it was such a pleasure to be there to photograph the love!
They both decided that sharing a first look on their wedding day just made sense. Nathan and Melissa wanted a couple minutes to themselves before the day got crazy like all weddings day. Before Nathan could turn around to see his beautiful Bride, Melissa already had tears in her eyes. Nathan is a man of many words, but when he saw Melissa in her gorgeous blush lace gown, he was speechless. He did manage to utter “You look amazing!”
A highlight for not only me during this Peacock Ridge fall wedding, but I know for also Cindy – the owner of the barn, was when Melissa requested a photo with the donkey on property! Nathan may not have been as excited as his soon-to-be wife, but like any man in love, he’d do anything to make his girl smile. So he stood right beside the donkey for a couple of photos.
The day seemed to move quickly after this point. Before we knew it, it was time for Melissa and Nathan to finally become husband and wife. They spoke beautiful vows to one another, both showing so much appreciation for the person they have become with the other by their side.
It wasn’t long after that the guests were able to enjoy the beauty of the inside of the barn. Melissa had lanterns on tables with some greenery and mini pumpkins. The barn had the perfect fall feel to it! AND there were mini pumpkin spice cupcakes from a Cupcake a Day! YUMMY!!!!
Melissa and Nathan, thank YOU for being YOU! I loved every minute of Friday and I’m so thankful I am able to capture wedding days with couples such as yourselves. I hope your wedding day was everything you ever dreamed it would be!
