Tool Shed at Breitenbach Winery Wedding
On Saturday, Courtney and I pulled into the Carlisle Inn in Sugarcreek, eager to head up to room 4428 to see Katie and meet her bridesmaids. We were greeted with warm smiles and the best hug from Katie! It was clear that Katie was ready to get the day started and see her Groom in just a couple of hours!
After the greetings, I quickly got to work photographing Katie’s details. In the nine wedding seasons, I have never had a bride have so many beautiful sentimental items with her on her wedding day! A hanky that her great-great-great grandmother carried on her wedding day in 1894 (!!!!!!), her great grandmother’s engagement ring, the necklace she wore her grandfather gifted to her grandmother on an anniversary, and the earrings she wore her momma wore on her wedding day over 30 years ago. I have goosebumps just typing all that out! What a beautiful testament to the marriages that came before Katie and Ben!
After Katie and Ben finished getting ready, we left for the Tool Shed at Breitenbach Winery for their first look. Lately, I’ve been hearing how Groom’s are worried if they see their bride before the ceremony and spend time with them, they won’t have the same emotions when he sees the blushing bride come down the aisle. When you scroll through these photos, Ben’s reaction was one of excitement for the first look. But Ben’s reaction when Katie and her dad walked down the aisle was beautiful. Exactly the reaction that I know every Bride wishes for!
The Tool Shed at Breitenbach Winery has so many breathtaking views, and thankfully on Saturday, we had overcast skies, allowing us to utilize parts of the property that otherwise, I would have avoided! While the winery behind the Tool Shed makes beautiful photos, off the east side of the Tool Shed is a view with the rolling hills of southern Ohio that Katie mentioned was her favorite view. Some of my favorite photos were taken with that view!!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Finley! I sure hope you’re enjoying Jackson Hole!!
Totally not my realm of work, but the sunset on Saturday night was worth stepping out of my comfort zone to capture!! What a beautiful end to the first day of fall!
