Wedding Tasks Brides Forget
No matter how many wedding blogs or websites (Brides.com had a great list!) you look at to make sure you don’t forget a minor wedding task, there’s always SOMETHING! You’re only one person, and your mind will be a jumbled mess the last couple weeks leading up the wedding, so here’s my list of wedding tasks brides forget! Hopefully these wedding tasks brides forget aren’t your forgotten wedding tasks!
- Forgot to order boutonnières/corsages for family
- Seating at the reception for vendors (photographers, videographers, DJs)
- Forgot to put the garter on before leaving the getting ready room
- Forgot to create a decoration for the seating chart
- Forgot to put a late RSVP on the seating chart
- Forgot about a wedding sendoff, or to order petals/bobbles, ribbon for the wedding send off
- Forgetting to make or print the wedding programs
- Forgetting to print off your family formals list to avoid missing photos
- Marriage License
- Writing Vows/Letters and/or bringing them to the venue (Could be like Josh and I and write then the morning of, five minutes before we’re suppose to leave)
- Champaign for toasts
- Cake cutter/server
- Finding someone to light the votives
- Choosing ceremony and reception music
- Guest book AND pens for the guest book
- Displaying extra decor
- Putting out yard games
- Candles or Sand for Uniting Ceremony
- Leaving said candles or sand at the venue after the wedding (Yes, I did this. And then realized THREE weeks later we forgot it!)
- Backing your veil, rings, shoes, jewelry, slip
- Remembering parent, bridal party, spouse gifts
My biggest suggestion to remembering the wedding tasks brides forget is to make a list on your phone and pack everything you the week of the wedding! More on what to do the week of the wedding coming soon!
