10 Quirks about Loren
As we start this new year, I find it only appropriate that I introduce myself to all my new readers, inquiring Brides, and maybe shed some light on myself for all current Brides. What better way to do that then with starting 10 Quirks about myself! So here we go, are you ready?
- I have a blonde streak in the back of my head that is my birthmark. I was born with dark black hair and had this patch of white. It’s only noticeable today if I go months without coloring my hair and allow it to grow back in.
- I could drink a gallon of sweet tea a day. It’s my weakness and a major reason why I struggle to lose weight because of the cup of sugar I’m drinking a day!
- I have had the name of my first daughter picked out since I was 17. Our future little girl will be named after her great-grandmother, Charlotte. I recently found out that my Grandma Charlotte was named after HER great-grandma. This melts my heart.
- When I get pedicures done, I can ONLY have red polish put on. I don’t know what it is, but anything else gives me anxiety.
- I physically can’t drink white milk. I broke my wrist as a little girl and was forced to drink nothing but white milk for a summer. I love chocolate milk, but I will NOT drink white milk. I eat my cereal dry as a result.
- I can only write notes, letters, postcards, etc. in blue ink. Don’t ask me why.
- I’m self-diagnosed OCD. It’s a blessing and a curse.
- The job that I thought I was dread the most, I find so much value in, and that’s teaching high-risk, low income students. It’s bittersweet to see a student’s face light up when you tell them how proud of them you are. Or that you even care about their well being.
- There has NEVER been a point in my life when I didn’t have a dog in my house sine the age of two. And our kids will never have a point in their life when there won’t be a four-legged friend to follow them around.
- I’m a sentimental person. This past Christmas, my Grandma made me her infamous peanut butter fudge, and that was the best gift I received this year!
So there are my 10 Quirks! 10 things that make me uniquely myself! What are your quirks?
