2017 Behind the Scenes
Goodness gracious, where in the world did the 2017 Wedding Season go?!?! 25 weddings in 17 weekends – six of those weekends being doubleheader weekends, and one a tripleheader weekend! Amazingly enough, I survived it all pregnant! Lucky for me, I had extremely capable second photographers who kept me hydrated and calm on stressful wedding days! I’m especially thankful for Jamie who spent 15 weddings with me!
Thanks to those capable second photographers, I’m able to share with you “behind the scenes” photos from this beautiful wedding season! Something that you’ll notice in these photos is I’m very hands on the day of a wedding! It’s not uncommon for me to help lace my Bride’s gown, touchup makeup after a teary first look, or put a veil in! I’d like to think that I’m not just a wedding photographer, but a planner, bridesmaid, and best friend!
Enjoy looking through a wedding day from “behind the scenes”! We had a blast this season!!
On winding days, Jamie’s there to hold beautiful gowns in place so they stay put!!
When you have no natural light in the hotel room for detail photos, you improvise. A lot.
9 weddings out of 10, you can find me bustling wedding gowns. Those three months I worked at David’s Bridal comes in handy!
Spoiler alert: I LOVE lacing up dresses!
Mycha and Sam from SM Events and Design! Seriously, Brides, you NEED these two on your wedding day!! I can give you a stress-free day, but Mycha and Sam take it to a whole other level!!!
My favorite video guy! Nick from Work Shed Weddings working his magic on Jamie and Daniel’s Brookside Farm wedding in October. Keep an eye out for Nick. You’re going to see him a lot in this post!
Your veil feels loose? Don’t worry, I’ve got ya covered! 😉
“Hand in pocket, thumb out, gentleman!”
Right after I got done bawling my eyes out with Jess and Shane’s first look!!!
First look instructions is one of my favorite parts of a wedding day! My Grooms are nervous, and I look seeing the jitters disappear as soon as they turn around to see their beautiful Bride!!
Fun fact – Jamie got an awesome shot of my birthmark. Do you see it? That blonde streak in the back of my head!
My first wedding at Brookside Farm after they installed AC in the Barn. Guys – Jamie and I FROZE at dinner. On a June day. It was amazing!
Getting our game plan together for Catherine and Tyler’s Gervasi wedding this past June! Game plans are serious business if you couldn’t tell!
One of my favorite bouquet shots came from that very pose with Lisa and Will’s Gervasi wedding!
Massillon Police Department showing some love for Kayla and Jake on their wedding day!
Notice a trend with the cake?? I’m always helping out with where to cut the cake so we can get the best photos of it!
Holy rain, Batman!!! Thankfully, it didn’t rain ALL day for Heather and Andrew’s Grand Barn wedding!
You know what’s coming with that veil, right?!
Don’t mind the pregnant lady with a plate full of food! At that point, we probably went five hours without eating anything!
How many cameras do you spot from this video crew?!
I look at this picture and crack up! There’s hardly any baby belly showing during Kelley and Jeff’s Stan Hywet wedding!
First wedding of the year! I had ANKLES!!! 😂
Ahh, the monsoon of Memorial Day weekend!
Thanks for a great season, 2017 Brides!!! I loved spending the day with you and your Groom!!!! Enjoy this first year of marriage! It goes by so quickly!!
