Brookside Farms Wedding
Brookside Farms (click here for the venue website) in Louisville Ohio never disappoints when it comes to photographing a beautiful wedding. Guests almost transport to another time when the day is slow moving and stress-free.
Abby and Chris were married this past Sunday at Brookside Farms. The moment I walked into the bottom of the barn, I could hear Abby’s infectious giggle. This giggle wasn’t one that I had the pleasure of hearing before. It was full of excitement and anticipation of becoming a wife. She awoke a single lady, and by 3 o’clock that warm afternoon, she was going to be married to the man she always prayed for.
Abby and Chris have amazing examples of marriage to admire in their family. Between their parents and four sets of grandparents, there 261 years of marriage in the family tree. 261 years. That’s over 95,000 DAYS! Chris’ father officiated the wedding Sunday, and hearing him say that number overwhelmed me with joy. How beautiful, and INSPIRING for Abby and Chris to follow in the longevity of marriage their parents and grandparents have started for them.
During a point in the ceremony, Stan, Chris’ father, shut off the microphone, and he and the rest of Abby and Chris’ immediate family formed a circle. One by one, they each said prayer for their future as Mr. and Mrs. and pledge their support. Aside from hearing that they are surrounded by 261 years of marriage, this was the most beautiful part of their ceremony. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house! (I hid behind my camera the whole time!)
When it was time to kiss the bride, the Chapel at Brookside Farms filled with cheers, and Abby and Chris made their way back down the aisle as husband and wife.
The warm June day with filled with laughs, tears, and plenty of kisses for Chris and Abby. I could not have imagined spending my day anywhere else. I’m so thankful that Abby wrote a Mount Union school newspaper article on another couple of mine, which connected Abby and I. It has been a wonderful journey with her and Chris these last couple of months. Thank you for allowing me the greatest honor of spending the day with you and Chris, Abby! I loved every second of it!
