Cleveland Arcade Engagement Photos
There’s something magical about the city life. The noise. The business to it. But even more magical is when you place a couple in that busy city and the noise just stops. Nothing else matters but that couple.
Last Sunday, this small town girl that is surrounded by more farm animals than people, drove to Cleveland for Heather and Scott’s engagement session. I love stopping out of my comfort zone and photographing in places that I rarely get to work at. Even if that means driving around for 10 minutes attempting to find a parking spot and getting lost – even with the GPS on. Don’t worry, I said a prayer, and the good Lord came through. With a parking spot just a couple yards away from the Art Museum!
One of Heather and Scotts first dates four years ago was at the Cleveland Museum of Art, and many dates after that included this Northeast Ohio city! It only seemed fitting that we would spend an evening taking their engagement photos in Cleveland.
We started at the Cleveland Museum of Art. At one point, I was a bit nervous that we would be asked to leave when we were shooting inside when two guards came upstairs and sat on benches. Luckily for us, and the beautiful photos we were able to take, we weren’t asked to leave!
With an outfit change and a 15-minute drive, we left the Art Museum and headed towards downtown to Euclid Ave. You know the iconic spot – The Arcade Cleveland. Built in 1890, and home of the Republican Convention in 1895, this historic landmark is always a favorite for me to photograph at! The five levels of old shopping stores, the staircase, and the Christmas decorations, everything about the Arcade on Sunday made my heart sign.
I wish Scott, Heather, and I could have had more time on Sunday to take even more photos! It’s always a joy for me to spend time getting to know my couples and take pretty pictures!
