Family Farm Engagement Session
A red barn, golden wheat, blue skies, and big puffy clouds – this must be what Justin Moore envisioned as he wrote the song Small Town USA. I know as I drove from Massillon to East Palestine, numerous country songs came to mind, especially ones that were about back roads. But there was only one song I could think of while taking Jessica and Austin’s engagement photos last week one evening, and that most certainly was Small Town USA.
Austin grew up on this farm, and no he takes care of about 100 acres. His grandfather purchased the property when his mom was around two years old. Since Austin was old enough to walk, he was riding tractors. He multitasked during college, and thankfully he did, because it was during a college class that Jessica and he met. From across the room, Jessica spotted Austin and eventually enough mustered the courage to talk to him. That was five years ago, and now they’re planning their wedding.
After Austin proposed to Jessica, they knew the family farm was the perfect location for their engagement photos. We nearly missed this beautiful window of opportunity. According to Austin, the gorgeous golden wheat would have been taken off a couple days prior. I’m so thankful that he didn’t, because friends, these photos are some of my favorites! The wheat, the big red barn, and the two tractors. This evening was literally picture perfect.
No engagement session is complete for a couple unless the furbabies are included! Tex and Tucker completed the session with their mom and dad! These two brothers are austrian shepards, with the same mom and dad dog parents. They were just born in seperate litters. Tucker loved having his photo taken, while his brother just wanted some loving! You’re going to love these boys!
