Oaks Lakeside Wedding
Ten years ago to the day of their wedding, Elana and Lee started dating. They attended their first homecoming together, and have been inseparable since. What a better way to celebrate a decade with your best friend by your side than to marry that person!
Elana knew that when she would ever get married, the grand celebration would take place at the Oaks Lakeside at Chippewa Lake, just outside of Akron Ohio. Lee’s grandparents treated the young couple to a nice dinner there after they began dating, giving Elana a glimpse into what her day could look like. When Lee proposed, it just seemed like an easy choice. The Oaks Lakeside had sentimental value for this sweet couple and a beautiful backdrop to top it off!
The morning of the wedding, Elana, the moms, and the bridesmaids all got ready at a quaint cottage on the property. The closed in front porch made for great light for not only hair and make-up but also for photos of Elana stepping into her beautiful tulle gown that came out of her mom’s Bridal Boutique!
Shortly after getting dressed, Elana would share a heartfelt first look with her daddy before sharing one with Lee. Once the first looks were over, the day seemed to move quickly. Before I knew it, the sun was setting behind the lake and it was time for the ceremony. In attendance were not only their closest family and friends, but also their two lovable pooches – Bella and Emma.
Once Lee and Elana were pronounced husband and wife, their guests made the walk back up to the restaurant for the reception. The tables centerpieces were candles at assorted heights, teacup vases with roses, greenery, and a beautiful rose gold sparkle runner. Elena’s vision for an elegant wedding certainly came to life in her reception details!
At the end of the night, the guests were surprised to find themselves enjoying a fireworks show grand enough for a city fourth of July block party! Who needs a sparkler exit when you can have a fireworks show out of the lake instead?
Congratulations Lee and Elana! I hope the start of this new decade has just as many laughs and fun filled memories as the last ten years!
Fantastic setting, great pictures, beautiful day and a wonderful wedding. So glad we were there.
Dear Loren, I certainly don’t think anyone could take a bad picture of Elana. That being said, I am so pleased to see this gorgeous bride selected a photographer that captured all of their beauty as well as this perfect day. Great job!
