Lanterman’s Mill Engagemet Session
We dodged some raindrops last Wednesday evening for Nikki and Bryce’s Laterman’s Mill engagement session in Youngstown! With a busy October and the color in the trees fading, I didn’t want to risk rescheduling and the photos not having the fall color in the trees for Nikki and Bryce. Despite the 5 minute steady drizzle in the beginning of our session, the skies dried up long enough for some serious magic to happen!
Three years ago, Bryce was reluctant to attend a friend’s bonfire. Lucky for him that he didn’t stay home that fall evening, or his life could be very different than what it is today! At that bonfire, Bryce’s friend was engaged to a girl who was friends with Nikki. The two played match maker. Fast forward to this past Christmas – Nikki and Bryce went to New York to send the holiday with her family. As they were decorating the Christmas tree, Bryce asked Nikki to be his wife. At first, Nikki thought it was a joke, but it would be the best Christmas present she could ever ask for. Ten months later and here we are – Nikki and Bryce engaged, having their engagement photos taken at Lanterman’s Mill!
Lanterman’s Mill is a photographers dream come true for photos! The covered bridge and suspension bridge provides the awesome lines that makes a heart with an artist eye dance. There’s plenty of trees in the park that painted a canvas of fall for the background in the photos. And the Mill it’s self provides a beautiful backdrop! The water fall is loud and made it a little difficult to communite to Bryce and Nikki what they should do in front of the camera, but by that point of the engagement session, they were absolute pros, so they didn’t need much direction.
This was my first trip to Lanterman’s Mill, and I’m already anxious to go back! But today let’s enjoy Nikki and Bryce’s beautiful photos!
