OARDC Summer Engagement Session
Oh OARDC, you never disappoint! This OARDC summer engagement session is a little different from the other ones that I have photographed. If you’re local to me, you’ll know that it hasn’t rained in Ohio in what feels like months. To the point where my yard hasn’t mowed since before the Fourth of July! It’s been THAT dry! If you’ve been following the blog posts the last couple days, you’re going to notice a common theme occurring. And that’s rain. Wouldn’t you know it, mother nature decided to give us a big old rain storm when Heather and Andrew traveled from Columbus for their OARDC summer engagement session!
When they first arrived and we did photos with their two furbabies, the skies were grey, but nothing that concerned me. However, as the time clicked on the sky got darker and darker. I have NEVER, and I truly mean NEVER worked through poses so quickly and burned as many calories as I did for this beautiful engagement session at OARDC!
Andrew and Heather did a quick outfit change and we moved our way through the rose garden to the orchard. I remember at point saying to them “Okay, I’ve been brave enough! Let’s head back to the vehicles!” We made it back to the cars just as the rain began to fall. But you want to know something, I’m so thankful for that storm. Honestly, I am! That storm gave Heather and Andrew a fun story to tell their kids some day, and we have some crazy awesome photos to show for it. The clouds were INCREDIBLE and I couldn’t stop taking photos of the stone house at OARDC with the insane clouds above! Wait until you see these pictures. I promise – they’re beautiful!!!!
I’m counting down the days until Heather and Andrew’s wedding at THE GRAND BARN!!!!! If you know me well, you know how much that barn means to me, and the sentimental value it holds on my heart! July 22nd will be here before we know, friends!!!!
