Quail Hollow Engagement Session | Hartville, Ohio
Thunder rolling in the distance and dark skies over our heads. Jordan and Brooke were rocking all the poses I was throwing at them in a short amount of time at their engagement session in Quail Hollow. I wanted to make sure we had some gorgeous photos in case the clouds opened up on us and let the heavens lose. Luckily for us last Wednesday evening in Hartville, that never happened. Some where off into the distance though was getting a nice storm while we enjoyed listening to the thunder roll across the air.
Many moons ago, Jordan was the annoying kid in math class asking to copy Brooke’s homework. She’d roll her eyes at him, and shh him away. Maybe then that was his way of flirting. After all, it was only 7th grade. Brooke could had cared less what Jordan was up to until the winter of their freshman year in High School. Jordan played basketball and Brooke cheered, and the two shared many bus rides together. A few months later, Jordan asked Brooke one of the most serious questions a high school boy could ever ask a girl – “Will you be my Girlfriend?”.
The rest of their story is pretty much history. They both attended Kent State together for college, and at Thanksgiving last year Jordan popped the question. He knew how important family is to Brooke and proposed at Thanksgiving Dinner. With Brooke’s family sitting around the table, each person went around saying what they were thankful for. When it was Jordan’s turn he joked he was thankful for fishing and dirt bikes. And then things got serious, and a little embarressing for Brooke. As Jordan went on about how thankful he was for Brooke, she was clueless with what was really happening. Jordan got done on one knee and asked Brooke to be his wife. With eyes full of tears, Brooke would eventually tell Jordan YES!
Three months later, I met with Brooke and Jordan to chat about their wedding day. They can’t wait to get marry at Country Cottage and Gardens and dance away the night under the stars. Being outside enjoying fresh air is where Brooke and Jordan are the happiest so it only made sense to marry at a place they could do just that, enjoy some fresh air!
